6 × 6 Sudoku to print

Choose 6 × 6 in the printable Sudoku tool for an adjustable worksheet, or download the 6 × 6 puzzle booklet with answers. Each puzzle uses the same rectangular 2 × 3 boxes as the game above.

Six numbers, three checks

Every row, column and 2 × 3 box contains 1 to 6 once. The rectangular boxes are different from the square boxes in classic Sudoku.

Keep notes when you need them

If two numbers could fit a cell, use Notes to record them. Look elsewhere and return after you place another number.

The next step is classic Sudoku

Try an easy 9 × 9 puzzle when you want more space to think. The three rules stay familiar, while the digits expand to 1 to 9. Grown-ups can find the full rules in how to play Sudoku.

A few helpful answers

Ask which numbers are already in the row, then the column, then the box. Saying the missing number aloud is often enough. The Hint button explains one step in words.

Turn Notes on, select an empty cell, then choose numbers to add or remove pencil marks. Turn Notes off to enter a final number.
