Who is responsible
Sudoku Puzzles Online is responsible for the processing described here. The operator's legal name and postal address have not yet been published on this site; you can request them through the contact page when message delivery is available.
Information stored on your device
The site uses your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is not sent with requests to the server. It holds your current games, Auto-check and Sound settings, a record of finished puzzles, clues typed into the solver. These items are needed for features you use, and the cookie policy lists each one.
You can delete this information at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Doing so resets your saved games.
Server logs
When your browser requests a page, the web server records standard technical information: IP address, date and time, requested address, response status, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. We use these logs to deliver the site, keep it secure, investigate errors and prevent abuse.
Access logs are rotated automatically, and archived copies are kept for about 10 days before deletion. They are not used for profiling or advertising and are not shared, except where required by law.
Contact messages
The form sends your name, email, subject and message to this website’s backend. A short-lived form session protects against forged submissions. When delivery is configured, accepted messages are passed to the server’s email transport; no copy of the message body is stored in the form rate-limit database. Contact details are used to handle your request and are not used for marketing. The delivery destination has not yet been configured, so the form currently reports that delivery is unavailable rather than claiming success.
Third-party services
The site loads no third-party resources: fonts, images, scripts and puzzle data are all served from sudokupuzzlesonline.com. The site is hosted on a server operated by a hosting provider, which processes the technical data above on our behalf. External links, where present, lead to websites with their own privacy policies.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
The site does not use analytics, advertising networks, tracking pixels or social media plugins. A necessary form-session cookie is used only when contact delivery is enabled. There is no optional tracking to accept or reject, so no consent banner is displayed.
Legal basis
Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website, and emails on the basis of answering your request. Browser storage is used only for features you choose to use.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Because games are stored only in your browser, we hold no game data about you.
To exercise a right, use the contact page when message delivery is available. We may need to ask for information to identify the relevant log entries or emails.
Children
The site has puzzles for children but collects no information from them beyond the server logs described above. Children do not need to share any personal details to play.
