Using the site

You may play the games, use the solver, print puzzle sheets and read the guides free of charge for personal and educational use. No account is needed. By using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

Printing and sharing

You may print puzzle sheets for yourself, your family, a club or a classroom, and share copies with them free of charge.
You may link to any page on the site.
You may not sell printed or downloaded puzzles, publish them in bulk in books, apps or other websites, or present them as your own work without our written permission.

Acceptable use

When using the site, please do not:

attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its server;
use automated tools to copy puzzle collections or large parts of the site;
remove or obscure the site name or puzzle numbers on printed sheets you share;
use the site in a way that breaks any law that applies to you.

Intellectual property

The puzzles, page text, guides, page design and the Sudoku Puzzles Online name and grid mark belong to the site, except where stated. The Inter typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License; the licence text is published with the site's font files. The general rules of Sudoku are not owned by anyone.

Third-party links and sponsored content

Some pages may link to other websites, including links in clearly labelled sponsored articles. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Availability

We aim to keep the site online and accurate, but we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including puzzles and features, without notice. Saved games depend on your browser's storage and can be lost if site data is cleared, the browser blocks storage or a future update changes the save format.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided free of charge and as it is. To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, we are not liable for loss of saved progress, interruptions, errors in puzzles or guides, or any indirect loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
